Sixth Class have been working hard putting together a project on charities in Ireland.
They chose a number of different issues and have produced informative material on them. Part of their investigation involves presenting the material to the rest of the school. Running competitions to raise money also formed a part of the exercise.
One such competition was poetry writing. The theme given was Children in Poverty. The sixth class girls running the competition divided the school up into age groups and then chose the prizewinners and presented them with their prizes at assembly.
It was a great idea and a large number of children took part. Well done Sixth Class.
