Autumn brings our Harvest assembly. And for their very first time, Junior Infants attend and participate at our assembly.
We celebrate the bounty of the harvest produced by the hard work of the farmers and the richness of our land.
During the week, the children have brought to school donations of produce and food from their parents. A pupil in 3rd Class donated her earnings from lemonade stand she set up in the summer holidays!
The girls perform plays, songs and dramas for the occasion. This year our donations are being delivered to the Simon Community. Sixth class had done some research and explained exactly what the Simon Community is to the rest of the girls.
Being able to help those in need makes the girls feel both proud and pleased.
We would like to offer a huge vote of thanks to all of the parents who so generously donated food to our collection and to those who were kind enough to deliver it to the Simon Community that same day.
