Welcome back to everyone on the start of our new academic year 2018 - 2019.
On our first Friday assembly, Mrs Mansfield called a special assembly to announce after 50 years teaching and 38 years of service to Scoil Mhuire that she was retiring. It was an emotional assembly for us all. Mrs Mansfield spoke warmly about Scoil Mhuire, saying how happy she was to teach and be principal there and explained how we have been her family for the past 38 years.
In the assembly she wished the incoming Principal Mrs Webster the very best in her new role. We wish Mrs Mansfield the very best in her retirement and thank her for everything she has done for us.
At the end of the assembly we also welcomed our new junior infant assistants from 6th class.
