Harvest Assembly - 27th September

Autumn is a very special time of the year, when farmers harvest the crops they have grown.
To show our gratitude for the food we receive on our table, every class has presented a short performance celebrating harvest-time.
Junior and Senior Infants danced as scarecrows....
First Class entertained us with a harvest samba...

Second Class recited a poem in Irish...

...while Third, Fifth and Sixth class reminded us of the important words that come with this time of reflection.

Fourth and Sixth delighted us with songs.

Here comes the most important part of our celebration. Harvest is a time for sharing, and thanks to the parents' generous donations we collected quite a few bags of food to deliver to Penny Dinners.
