Cork City Sports 2023

An exciting SMJS first - this year we entered a team for the Cork City Sports primary schools event at MTU on 1st June - a huge athletics event for primary schools.

Ms O’Leary undertook the organisation and training of the team and was ably assisted by Ms Daly and Mr Pfueller.

The team members were very keen and dedicated. We will definitely be entering next year as it was great fun and well worth doing and we have a sizeable group of talented athletes in our school.

The team did extremely well and enjoyed the event enormously. We are very proud of them and would like to thank all the parents who helped on the day.

A special photo opportunity for our team members from 6th Class who won’t be able to be on our team next year. We’ll be expecting great achievements from them in secondary school events though - keep your ears open.
